Musically, Agape Blues Company is a full-bodied blend of blues styles with rock and roots notes.

Group performances include original songs written by Scott Heller, classic gospel blues covers, and Christian hymns rearranged in a  blues style- better known as “Barrelhouse Hymns.”

We also present a ‘Gospel & Blues Revue’ that celebrates the confluence of early gospel with classic rhythm and blues, rock and roll, and blues music. Through story and song, we examine artists such as Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, and Jerry Garcia who worked to blur the lines defining these musical genres. We also reflect on the pioneers of early gospel music, creating a celebration of music that moves body, spirit, and soul.
